Hollywood, Florida ---- March 23, 2005 ---The Hollywood Beach CRA and the City of Hollywood have provided funds for Broward County's 2005-06 Beach Renourishment Project to restore eroded beaches in Hollywood, Hallandale and Dania Beach.

In addition to the economic benefits of making the beach more appealing to tourists, the sand replacement will protect upland private and public property from damage caused by storm waves.

Work will begin from the Broward County line in Hallandale Beach to the John Lloyd State Recreation Area in Hollywood.
