Hollywood Beach CRA To Host Community Workshop

The Hollywood Beach Community Redevelopment Agency will present a community-focused Zoning & Land Use Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Thurs., June 29 at the Hollywood Beach Culture and Community Center.

The workshop is the latest in a series of beach land use and zoning discussions conducted in anticipation of a planning and zoning study to implement the City-Wide Master Plan and the Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Plan.

The featured speaker at the Zoning & Land Use Workshop will be urban planner Bernard Zyscovich, president of Zyscovich, Inc. Zyscovich has been analyzing current conditions within the Beach District and will make recommendations for city codes, regulations and objectives in terms of future public and private development.

Previous community discussions on land use and zoning issues have included a kickoff forum last February and a stakeholders meeting held in May.

Free parking will be available for those attending the workshop, 9 a.m. to noon Thurs., June 29 at the Hollywood Beach Culture and Community Center, 1301 South Ocean Drive.
